Learn More About UsBetting and Casino Glossary
Understand key terms in the world of betting and casino — this knowledge helps you make better decisions.
Asian Handicap
A football betting method that levels the playing field between teams of different strengths by giving a goal advantage to the weaker team, eliminating the possibility of a draw.
Over-Under (Totals)
You bet on whether the total number of goals or points in a match will be more than (over) or less than (under) the number set by the bookmaker.
RTP (Return to Player)
The long-term percentage of wagered money that a game returns to players. This is a theoretical average — actual results in a playing session can vary.
Wagering Requirements
The number of times you need to play through the bonus amount before winnings from that bonus can be withdrawn. Example: a RM120 bonus with a 20x requirement means you need to wager RM2,400.
House Edge
The mathematical advantage the casino holds in every game. This is not cheating — it is how a casino covers operating costs while still paying out player winnings.
Slot Volatility
A measure of slot risk — high volatility pays out larger amounts but less often, while low volatility pays out more frequently but in smaller amounts. Choose according to your risk tolerance.
Progressive Jackpot
A jackpot that grows each time a player bets within the same game network, until one player wins the entire accumulated amount.
Live Dealer Casino
Casino games broadcast live with real dealers via video camera. You play in real time from home with an experience close to that of a physical casino.
Cashback
A partial return of your net losses over a set period — usually calculated weekly. At apetubet, VIP members receive weekly cashback of between 0.3% and 1.2%.
Odds Format
The way betting odds are displayed — decimal format (1.85), fractional (17/20), or American (+/-). Decimal format is most commonly used in Southeast Asia.
Mix Parlay
You combine several sports betting selections into one ticket. All selections must win to receive a payout — the risk is higher but so is the potential return.
Live (In-Play) Odds
Odds updated in real time while a match is in progress. You can bet on the next goal, set winner, or various other outcomes throughout the match.
KYC Verification Guide
KYC (Know Your Customer) verification is a standard requirement in the licensed gambling industry worldwide. It protects players from identity fraud, prevents money laundering, and ensures the platform is only accessed by eligible individuals. This process helps apetubet maintain a safe environment for all users.
